As a Grammy winning artist, Jason Mraz has proven to be a witty, intelligent, and playful songwriter. Thus, there is no doubt in my mind that the fun loving, foam hat wearing star knew exactly what he was doing when he wrote the hook to the second single from his major label debut album. While the verses of “Curbside Prophet” tell the story of Mraz’s past, the chorus is a double entendre that is equal parts great metaphor and disturbing mental image.
