22-year-old Jason Castro from Rockwall, Texas was a contestant on the 7th season of American Idol. He placed 4th in the competition, voted off following his performances of Bob Marley’s “I Shot The Sherrif”, and Bob Dylan’s “Mr. Tambourine Man”.

According to his contestant page on http://www.americanidol.com, his favorite singers are Ray LaMontagne and kirk baxley. Before his Idol experience, he played drums in a band called Keeping Lions.
