'This song is so cute.' How???

Thanks for the UK insider info! But I am still sure Jarvis can do this song really convincing, because he can feel it as metaphor. I assume he never killed anyone...

Isn't really metaphorical. The phrase 'I will kill again', you probably know already, was championed during the investigation of the Yorkshire ripper. 'Wearside Jack' acted as a decoy, sending his false confession to the police stating, among other things, 'I will kill again', leading the investigation completely awry. The song is loosely linked to that, I guess. A man living a fairly mundane life, wondering how differently people would react to him if he were famous, or rather, infamous, as opposed to simply a 'nice guy'.

I don't see the irony of playing a piano tune on acoustic guitar. They are both string instruments, similar in sound and playing style!

what a romantic nutjob! I love Jarvis' twisted sense of humor...

ptinski... chill out I would hope like Tartex said that it isn't about killing people and is therefore metaphorical.

Hey tartex, how d'you come to this knowledge, did he tell you what meaning he put to the song? Or perhaps...all music is subjective and it means exactly what we imagine it does.

The way the piano hits at "come on serenade me" is just too good. Jarvis <3

Come on. This song was never about literally killing people. Jarvis' last album made that even clearer.
