Jarvis Branson Cocker (born on September 19, 1963, in Sheffield, United Kingdom) is an English alternative rock musician, best known for fronting the britpop band Pulp.
Pulp disbanded in 2002, but Cocker has been busy. In 2003, he re-emerged to promote a new album A Heavy Nite With… for his new band, Relaxed Muscle. 2005 then brought Cocker briefly back into the limelight with his contribution to the soundtrack for “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”. He also collaborated with and wrote lyrics for Nancy Sinatra’s and Charlotte Gainsbourg’s comeback albums.
Cocker is now following a solo career with an album titled Jarvis, released on November 13, 2006. His sophomore effort Further Complications (produced by Steve Albini) was released May 25th 2009.
He recently split from his wife, Camille Bidault-Waddington, with whom he has a son, Albert.

Yeah, that's what I thought, you're just not into "Jarvis, the rocker". But seriously, "Leftovers" is nothing short of amazing, most people agree it's probably the best song on the album, it's really a pity you don't enjoy it :| Let's hope his third album is something we all can enjoy once again :)

thekillingspree - I don't get the fuss over Leftovers. I just find it a bit boring. Nice lyrics though. I definitely prefer it when he doesn't 'rock' as much. I still really like the album though! I met Jarvis in London a couple of years ago. Really nice guy!

@ timahall: STFU. "Further Complications" was one of the best albums of 2009, you probably just don't enjoy the rockier version of Jarvis and should wait for his third album instead. It's just inhuman not to embrace beautiful songs like "Leftovers" and "Slush". Those two tracks alone are among the most amazing things I've ever heard this bearded man do.
