Sounding like “a young Sting and a less histrionic Jeff Buckley” (Cleveland Scene Magazine), audiences and critics find comparison and originality in Jann Klose’s sound and songwriting pen. Klose’s voice, has been described as “pliant and powerful” and as “soulful and exciting” by the Boston Phoenix.
Growing up in Kenya, South Africa and Hamburg, Germany, Jann’s first visit to the U.S. came as an exchange student to Cleveland, Ohio. Since his move to New York in 2000, Jann’s theatrical gigs as a singer/actor include touring with Broadway’s JEKYLL & HYDE, the European Tour of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR and performing in THE WHO’S TOMMY at NJPAC. Jann Klose’s new album REVERIE is continuing to build momentum. The record has already become a critical favorite in regional America and is – as the LA Weekly states – becoming “a minor hit,” heard on over 115 radio stations worldwide, including Sirius XM Radio in the U.S., the BBC in the U.K. and most recently, Prambors Radio in Indonesia.
Since the release of the album, Jann has opened for Jonathan Edwards, The Strawbs, Michael Glabicki of Rusted Root, performed with Renaissance’s Annie Haslam and John Tout as well as with Rosanne Cash, Marty Stuart and Roger McGuinn at the Martin Guitar 175th anniversary concert. Jann and his band supported Elliott Murphy on tours of the East and West Coast. The two are planning on more shows together later this year. Jann recently returned from a European tour which included his second tour of the UK and Germany as well as Georgia, France and Ireland for the first time. In addition to radio airplay and extensive touring – over 100 shows in 2008 alone, Jann and his band have been receiving positive press for REVERIE:

Hi scrambler! I saw Jann on NBC too. That was good. I had never heard of him before that but immediately went to itunes and downloaded a couple of songs. Cool stuff. Let me know if you need any help with the street team. I live in southern NJ and saw on Jann's website that he's playing in Doylestown at the Puck in September. I'm planning on going to the show and will be happy to promote it locally

Cool new video - I actually saw their performance on TV that day and it was awesome. The sound was on and so was the playing. Really worth going to see Jann and his band play. I'm a bit biased I guess since I help out with Jann's Street Team whenever they are in the Philly area. For anyone that missed the show at the Tin Angel in April, as far as I know they will be back in the area this fall.
