There are several artists who have released works under this name.

The most active of them nowadays is James Johnson, a profilic American ambient musician, who started by playing in experimental/ambient outfit Illusion of Safety and later releasing own solo albums, specializing in minimalism. James Johnson has collaborated with artists including Ma Ja Le, Robert Scott Thompson, Alio Die and especially Vir Unis. He founded the label Zero Music, which eventually merged with atmoworks, founded by both Johnson and Vir Unis in 2001. Johnson decided to leave the label in March 2008.

Recently James Johnson has released several of his older works, such as Unity, Surrender, Entering Twilight and The Butterfly Chamber as freely available 256 CBR MP3 downloads on his website.
