The QUICK BROWN FOX, James Higgins, began his musical journey in the year of his birth (1986) when his parents bought him a small plastic red keyboard instrument that delighted him to no end. It wasn’t too many steps before he was writing songs, teaching himself guitar, keyboard and digital recording technique and by the age of 15 had produced three albums, one of which was performed entirely by the Fox alone.

Ten years of non-stop work, trials and tribulations, great failures and great successes later, Higgins boasts an impressive portfolio of acclaimed albums and touring escapades as an artist, bandleader, songwriter and producer. Highlights include touring Europe in 2008 with Nude Continuum (now SOUL CONTINUUM), performing alongside artists like the Brand New Heavies and Jamiroquai. Soul Continuum’s sophomore album (and Higgins’ debut as a frontman) Phoenix to Fox has received praise from all over the globe and Soul Continuum continue to stun audiences in Australia and beyond, already playing support gigs with artists like Los Amigos Invisibles and Katie Noonan and the Captains.

Now the QUICK BROWN FOX embarks on his own journey, a lone vulpine amongst virtueless vultures, baring his soul, and singing the gospel truth with his funkiest foot forward. His debut single Where Does Your Apple Grow will open your mind to closing your mouth, and his first solo album Life in the Love Zone will soon follow as what is sure to be his most powerful release yet.
