The track info posted here is not correct.

Soul Power was never released on the 1964 Out of Sight album, whose cover art goes along with the track, though it did appear on the similarly-titled Universal 2002 compilation Out Of Sight! Very Best Of James Brown.

A listen to any of the hundreds of samples of Soul Power on commercial websites will reveal that the tempo and rhythm of LastFM’s version differ markedly from the original.

This version here isn’t by James Brown at all. It’s probably a white-label remix of Soul Power, most likely produced by Dallas (US) househead Lance DeSardi around 2004/5.

It would be good if the moderators could ID the source of the particular sample, and/or if community members could post information on where this amazing (and, from the stats, popular) house-remixed version can be legitimately purchased as CD or MP3…
