About this album

“The Wilhelm Scream” is the second single from James Blake’s 2011 eponymous debut album. The song is a cover of James Litherland’s “Where To Turn.” The song did very well, becoming Blake’s second most successful single peaking at no. 136 in the U.K. The video for “The Wilhelm Scream” was released as the third track on the single along with the song “What Was It You Said About Luck?” which wasn’t on the album.

The song was a critical success, making it on to many end of the year lists like Pitchfork’s “Best of 2011” list and the Triple J 2011 Hottest 100. Additionally, the song was nominated for an Ivor Award and it earned Blake his second BRIT Award nomination.
