Jake Thackray (27 February, 1938 - 24 December, 2002) was a singer-songwriter in the tradition of French chansonniers such as his friend and inspiration Georges Brassens.   • Only chanced upon Mr Thackray for the very first time fairly recently, when one of his albums popped up on Spotify (gotta love those happy accidents), and I haven't loooked back since - the guy is/was absolutely brilliant.
