I just got back from my vacation to Duluth and Grand Marais. It was fun but maybe a bit exhausting. While in Duluth I stopped at the Electric Fetus and picked up a few CDs, although I haven't had time to thoroughly listen to them yet (I didn't bring a portable CD player and it's too noisy in the car to give a proper listen).
I've been wanting to get Underling by Jake Mandell
for some time now; it's quite different than the other album of his that I own, Parallel Processes, much more ambient and atmospheric. I think I'll listen to it tonight if I'm up late.
I also bought Elevator 3 by Curd Duca
, an artist I have no exposure to other than an appearance on the Clicks + Cuts compilation. I'm always sure to pick up anything I see on Mille Plateaux, though, ever since it shut down a few years ago.
The third album I bought (you've gotta get that 10% off) was Sea Biscuit by Spacetime Continuum
. I have the Double Fine Zone album, but this one seems a lot more ambient.
