Jacquelin Simmers

When Jacquelin was a young child her parents would find her around the house just singing away. She would make songs up on the spot and would make songs up that didn’t make sense to anyone. At the age of 12, Jacquelin joined The Crossway Worship Band. As a background singer, she also wrote her first song called, You Are The Only One. That song was put on CWB’s second CD called, Amazed. At the age of 14, she wrote her second song called, Pour It Out. That was put on CWB’s fourth CD called, Volume 4.
At that time, Jacquelin decided to pick up a guitar and wanted to learn a thing or two. She had help from her father and then piced it up and taught herself basically everything she knows. At 16, Jacquelin wrote Questions. To her, this was the first song she wrote and played on her own. The first place Jacquelin ever played at was at MO’s (memphis originals). She had people tell her that she sounded like Alanis Morresette, Janis Joplin, Bethany Dillan, and Jennifer Knapp. Since that time, Jacquelin has performed at Geekers Coffee, St. Judes Target House, The Galloway, The Acoustic Spoon, and The Warehouse. Her hope is to play all over and to be able to say that she has played in that certain place.
