• Agree with 'allaboutthemoon' Mr Frank knew the pain in his music. http://www.metafilter.com/94796/A-Singer-Scarred-for-Life
• this is so beautiful and also so sad when you know Jacksons background.
• This is a great track, sure, but I would like to hear another song of his, too. Why doesn't Last.fm play songs more randomly? I always get the songs I already listened to. Do you people experience the same?
• robin pecknold singing this and suddenly the world seems like a place I could live in
• Brilliant
• pure classic
• I'm addicted to this song....
• lOve.
• I'm listening to jeansandsummer's radio!
• This is a lovely song. First heard about him on a BBC Radio programme recently, but a great re-discovery. Recommend likewise Phil Ochs to people who want to rediscover the neglected singer/songwriters of the past.
• I had forgotten how good he was.
• nice
• fab song
• Living's just a gamble baby, loving's just the same.
• Fine singer-songwriter hardly mentioned these days. Great song.
• what version is this? where is it from? I only know the LP version
• Breaks it all down beautifully... as good as it gets.
• Prefer the solo guitar and vocals version of this than the version on Last FM, but whatever the arrangement, still an incredibly melancholy and beautiful song.
• Gorgeous! Never heard of him, but has that bittersweet Nick Drake sound....
• lovely
• beautiful sad song.
• So beautiful.
• I love this song. :-))
• Fine tune. :)
• great, reminds a bit of Tim
• haven't heard this for years. my dad used to play this song. brings back memories of my parents' parties and folk clubs.
• livin is a gamble baby, lovin's much the same.. indeed JCF, indeed
• So very good.
• dreamy
• love it.....
• Great song! [artist]Laura Marling[/artist] made a great cover of this.
• Take a bow
• :))))))))))))))
• living is a gamble
• acoustic pleasah'
• lovely
• What an amazing song! I just heard Jackson for the first time playing on the sound system in the Komedia, Bath while I was eating a slice of their fab gluten free orange polenta cake.
• la classe
• Never heard this before. Glad I heard it today. It came to me right on time.
• Not worth mentioning the Simon and Garfunkle version, I suppose? Jackson's is brilliant and there would be no debate without his original.
• i think this is great
• The guitar accompaniment in the background is off, which is probably why some people don't like it. The song is a melodic song, and someone's playing random blues scales over it, and it doesn't sound right.
• I pick this version over Jansch and Drake a million times over (and I adore Jansch and Drake)
• very nice.
• Listen to this song dying in the single version.
• Give me the orginal studio recording, please, last.fm.
• wow
• I like Bert Jansch version
