A beautiful song. It stands comparison with any of JB's classic 1970s material...

Damn, what a classic track from an incredible album. Remarkably personal and honest. It's why Jackson Browne is one of the artists who set the bar in terms of what great music should be. Nothing generic about this stuff.

This is from a fantastic, yet depressing album that came out in 1994. I remember I'd just broken up with the girl that I honestly believed I'd be marrying.. Whenever I hear one of the tracks from that album, like this one, it takes me back to those painful days. I believe the album was "I'm Alive"...

If "Late For The Sky" isn't the most beautiful song that I've ever heard in my life, then this certainly is.

I'm gutted that I didn't discover Jackson Browne until I was well into my 40's. Still, on the plus side, there's some marvellous catching up to do. He veers towards the middle of the road at times but something about his lyrics/ singing / tunes, keeps me coming back.

Although I love this version, the studio version is better.

There's nothing hidden in Jackson's music, it's about as honest as music gets. His songs are his, no vanilla, no sugar coating, just music from the depths of his soul. If you can't appreciate that, and feel touched by it, you really have no business listening to music at all.... Go ahead Jackson.

Whatever JB sings is good for me. He's Ace! I have most of his albums in cassette form so unfortunately hardly listen to them anymore, and I saw him live. He was estupendos! Great voice, great music, great lyrics.
