J Beatz is a 16 up and coming producer hailing from North London. He is mostly known for coming runner up in JME’s Tropical Remix Producer Competition , his free download remix mixtape Stop At Nothing and his free download 7 track EP Have a Butchers E.P. When started he couldn’t think of a name at first so he went by his real name Jason Jules but a family friend Darren convinced him to change his name because it didn’t sound good for a producer name so he gave him the name J Beatz. He liked it and has kept it ever since.

He started producing 2 years ago when he went on a music course and I had to make a beat with someone also at the course and he wasn’t impressed with his partner’s input and he thought to myself I can do better than what he’s doing. It wasn’t hard for him to start because his brother (J. Jules) is also a producer and he already had Fruity Loops on his pc all he needed to then is start.

His influences consists of Maniac, Nocturnal, Bless Beats, Skepta, Wiley , Y. Wizz, Rapid and any one who makes good music.
