After experiencing great success with the release of this disc, Júpiter Maçã becomes Jupiter Apple, composed in English, and decides to mix bossa nova and avant-garde sound. Many fans did not understand it, preferring the more accessible psychedelia of “The Seventh Effervescence”. This unusual mix is very well done on your second album, “Plastic Soda” (1999).
In 2002 he released “Hisscivilization”, Apple’s more ambitious (and perhaps misunderstood) record to date. Electronic lengthy trials, electrical and lumpy lounge, waltz, sitars and moogs, condensed into moments, sometimes lightly, sometimes paranoia. The reaction caused by the two-stage Apple discs are even more dramatic .
In 2006 it was hoped the “A Tarde Na Fruteira” (A Afternoon In The Fruit Bowl) album’s release. On this record, “Apple” turns back to “Maçã”, but continues to explore the Brazilian experimental side, with songs already immortalized in the subconscious of the underground. Somehow, everything that has been made by Júpiter is summarized in this record: from mod Sixties songs, lightness jazz ballads, concrete and electronic timbres.
