Про Child in Time При работе над композицией в 1969 году участники, по собственному признанию, отчасти заимствовали мелодию у «Bombay Calling», песни группы It's a Beautiful Day (там она велась скрипками и в более быстром темпе). В автобиографии 2002 года Иэн Гиллан ещё раз признал этот факт, но отметил, что It’s a Beautiful Day «вернули комплимент», точно таким же образом поступив с «Wring That Neck» («на основе» её создав собственную инструментальную композицию «Don and Dewey» из альбома 1970 года Marrying Maiden).

A main part of this song was used by Deep Purple as the basis for their song "Child in Time". (Bombay Calling was recorded in 1969, Child in Time in 1970). Look at this interview with Ian Gillan - http://deep-purple.net/Review-files/asia2002/mumbai-gillan-interview.htm. On the other side, It's a Beautiful Day borrowed "Wring That Neck" to make "Don and Dewey".:)

Not to be critical, Spyreality, but that isn't IABD in the pictures...it's Big Brother and the Holding Company circa 1967 that you submitted. Song is wonderful, though.
