This is without any doubt whatsoever one of the best and most seamless tracks by Isis (by the way, Goddess Bless and Happy 2K10, peeps) in recent years, and one of the very best albums of 2009. Post-metal rules. Adam Jones lent quite a nice touch to this one with his shining stringwork. When 5:20 hits, I go ape shit on air gee-tar every single time. This one literally causes me to imagine that I'm walking down the ornate hall of a huge, dark and creepy mausoleum. It's that ominous, and that fuckin' good.

Old Isis was heavy in a more upfront, obvious way. Recent Isis is still just as heavy in my opinion, but it's more of a subtle, sublime heaviness. But hellsatana13 got it right: "All ISIS = awesomeness"
