Cafe Regio's (5:59)

Cover of The Very Best Of

From The Very Best Of and 4 other releases

Cafe Regio’s is, of course, a part of the Shaft soundtrack. I think it’s one of the best instrumentals in movies!

Was Charles "skip" Pitts part of the Bar-Kays? I know they did a lot of work on this with Ike.

This is my favorite song from the "SHAFT" LP. RESQUIESCAT IN PACE, my brother from another mother.

I've been to cafe Reggio's in NYC *the one where Shaft was filmed in* and I actually sat in the same spot that was filmed in the movie. I had coffee with Jim Thirlwell (Foetus) that day, and he picked out this place specifically because of the Shaft history.
