Far too often do I hear people say things along the lines of "music is my life," or "I love music." In fact, people say this so much, it has lost all meaning. The sad part is that most people who make this claim couldn't be further from telling the truth. Why must music have so many posers in comparison to fans of other forms of entertainment? Is it because music lacks a certain stigma that enthusiasts of other entertainment mediums often have?

For example:

"I love movies/TV" - You're a fat couch potato.
"I love sports" - You're a meathead.
"I love video games" - You're a nerd
"I love collecting toys" - You're a loser clinging on to their childhood.
"I love computers/technology" - Also a nerd.
"I love music" - There's no real stigma to that.

Is this why? I'm not sure how so many people can claim that they love music. Everybody listens to music, but then there's last. …

The New Wave of British Heavy Metal is one of the most importants movements in metal history.It brought metal back in shape,and redefined the sound of the genre,taking the elements from the pioneers and infusing it with punk rock agression.So the bands were skilled musicians with complex songs but they also had a raw power that wasn´t that present in 70´s metal,these bands ended up paving the way to all metal that followed,being a strong and a main influence to genres like Thrash Metal.

Despite some controversy,Judas Priest and Motorhead aren´t nwobhm bands (if ,they were they would definitely be here in my list),they predated the movement and were an influence to the bands.The only bands that really made it big were Iron Maiden and Def Leppard,while others gained a cult fanbase like Saxon and Venom,besides those most nwobhm are relatively unknown to the mainstream and even to many metalheads.Despite this,the bands on my list are the most well known,but there were many other great obscure albums from the old british guard.
