Intrinsic Action formed in Chicago in 1984 and have since been a highly influential factor in shaping the now thriving DIY noise scene in Chicago and beyond. With the use of synths and primitive electronics Intrinsic Action created raw, brutal industrial noise better known as “power-electronics” to categorize. These aggressive aural assaults were often a vehicle for Mark Solotroff’s paranoid, morbid distopian lyrics. The ghosts of Throbbing Gristle, early Suicide, Whitehouse (whom they joined for their first US tour), SPK, Swans and Napalm Death looms heavy throughout their sound.

    haha it makes me laugh that the only thing jackin69 has done on last.fm is get angry I think this band is shit. The "people you listen to listen to this so you should like it" arguement is pretty absurd if you take it to its logical conclusion. And you could just as easily argue that this is a project imitating whitehouse, if you're going to argue I listen to projects who imitate this. It is nice to have unintentionally trolled this guy so hard. welcome to the internet!
