I love this song, but it's so sad. I can't help hearing it as a song about somone fighting a losing battle to a multiple personality disorder.

This band just rocks. Wife is going to see U2 on July 14, Interpol is playing in AC on July 15th, I'd like to go, but that weekend is just way too hectic for me, so I will likely have to take a raincheck on it. bummer.

At around 3:25 (not on the video above, but on the real song), Interpol obviously plagiarizes Arcade Fire's "In the Back Seat" (around 1:10).

String Arrangement is taken from an Arcade Fire song...can't place which one, but I'm sure of it.

Theres something that bothers me: "Im INSIDE, like the wrecking ball, through your eyes, and I change it all from INSIDE" ... see? the repetition bothers me... someone has an idea of why paul wrote it that way?

The nobody told you ect...reminds of Pink Floyd's song Time.
