8 Mar 2010, 10:29 by astroholidayHi there. I compiled some tracks from my favorite artists into one playlist/mix tape intended for playing while you are driving, commuting or doing other shenanigans. Summer here is harsh and it is nice to just relax or lie down and listen to some good songs.
Be sure to check it out. It includes a front and back art cover because I think the mix tape would be so much better with them.
Loveninjas - I Wanna Be Like Johnny C
Death Cab for Cutie - Soul Meets Body
The Radio Dept. - What Will Give?
My Bloody Valentine - Don't Ask Why
The Radio Dept. - David (The Rice Twins remix)
Interference - Gold
Beirut - Scenic World
Vampire Weekend - Walcott
Feist - My Moon My Man
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Turn Into
Emiliana Torrini - Tuna Fish
Engineers - Emergency Room
Doves - Caught By The River
comments/suggestions/violent reactions are much appreciated. :)
7 Nov 2008, 04:19 by Milkshake8SAN JOSE, California (Reuters) - High-speed wireless Internet will be cheaper and more available across the United States in the near future, the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission and a Google co-founder said on Thursday.
FCC Chairman Kevin Martin and Larry Page, president, products for Google said a decision on Tuesday by the U.S. agency to open Unused television spectrum known as "White Space" along with better radios, can help improve Internet access in urban and rural areas.
Radio is at the heart of Wi-Fi, wireless mobile phones, and Blackberry's.
They said the first developments will show up in less than two years, and reach The Public later.
"I think the thing that people don't realize is that radios are on a similar Trajectory to computers", undergoing tremendous technological development, Page told the Wireless Communications Association.
29 Sep 2007, 18:55 by fjersnamI promised myself I'd buy nothing but "must-have" CDs. Ehhh...I can say I love it so far.
Not too much, but still enough stuff to make a list :p
Here we go-> no album reviews, just some offtopic mess.
Le Payaco - Všetko sa dá zjesť
/me studying for the term´s hardest exam (linear programming).
/me had enough of it.
/me turned the radio on (it was Radio_FM of course)
/me won this cd :P
Actually, I haven´t heard the whole thing yet cos
the album went to my clone a few weeks later, and now another friends´s got it. I hope I´ll see it again one day.
Bell X1 - Music In Mouth
ahhh, my clone showed me a cute small CD second hand in Bratislava called Nepál. I saw Bellies last year in BA, it was an acoustic set and my first and last gig I´ve been to with noone at all. After the gig I stayed there to chat with Paul a bit (he called me "the great pick thief of the East", don´t ask why) so all the Bellies CDs had been sold when I came to the table in front of the Old town hall. …

Following interview with Interference's frontman Fergus O'Farrell has been published in Literarni noviny, vol. 46, page 7, November 14th 2005 – right before the band's gigs here in the Czech Republic. The article was originally published in Czech. (If you prefer reading in Czech, you'll find the article here.) Enjoy...
Singer, songwriter and multiinstrumentalist Fergus O'Farrell is a highly regarded musician in Ireland. He was introduced to the Czech audience in summer by the Irish Frames' frontman Glen Hansard and right with him, Fergus O'Farrell is coming back to Czech stages.
The disease, which gradually takes away the power of the muscles and confines a person to a wheelchair inevitably, is rare, unknown and "unattractive" in so far, that a Czech nongovernmental association, which helps to people with muscular dystrophy, can only hardly raise funds for its activities. …
