The Berlin hardcore scene people defied the heat and the desire to watch the world cup and came to the Kato to watch four bands, some regular guests and some who come seldom. During the opener Fall of a Season
it looked like the club wouldn't become filled, as they had to open in front of a scarce audience. They played their usual show and the usual suspects used it for warm-ups.
After this well known band something wicked came upon us called Damnation A.D.
They took no prisoners, played an aggressive set of pure hardcore with metallic elements, but not today's metalcore. I really liked this band.
Third one was an oldschool band named Ringworm
which reminded my of my old Integrity
CDs. The made no compromises either and got the audience on their side, despite the white trash attitude.
I've seen Most Precious Blood
before at the same club, so I knew their show and I knew I'd enjoy it. Others did appreciate it too and there was nice pit with a few stage divers. …
