Lol @ people comparing this to TJR. Only similar thing I can find here is guitar tune. This album is 10 times more melancholic and TJR is a lot faster. Both albums good, still TJR being a lot better tho. TJR is the perfection of original mdm. <- Arguably the best metal genre.

"In The Halls of Awaiting" has its own unique atmosphere. [2] Imo, comparing this to TJR is too hard. Both are amazing albums, though I do prefer the melancholic atmosphere of this album.

Great debut. I love the melancholic melodeath Insomnium plays now more, but I wish they'd mix it up a bit with some faster and ultimately less mournful stuff like what's heard on this record.

This album isn't similar to TJR. "In The Halls of Awaiting" has its own unique atmosphere.

Best songs on this album is The Elder, Journey Unknown, Black Waters and Song Of The Storm. Like Across The Dark, I haven't listening to this album so much.

Agreed, very different from TJR. This album gives off a way more melancholic atmosphere... Love it. ^^

This isn't that similar to the Jester Race, and its much better imo. Prime Melodic Death right here.
