In January 2001 INFERNO engages the new vocalist Yana (Ivanna) and records the new album 'Not Angels' in June of the same year. Now INFERNO tries itself with 'Real Gothic Rock' but does not betray its image. Lyrics are still about evil but not of evil.

After the band accepts Anny Ashuba (2000-2001, vocals), INFERNO changes its musical inclination to more melodic compositions, the sound becoming more atmospheric. INFERNO refuses the death-metal 'roar' vocal – now you hear the clean and transparent voice; however, the themes are still dark and gloomy. The stage mini-LP 'Lead Plated' (2000) was the result. In 2000 INFERNO joins yet more festivals to receive some prizes and to be nominated as 'the best concept

In spite of permanent 'fluctuation of personnel', INFERNO gives some shows in Ukraine; in 1996-97 the band takes part in Ukrainian rock festivals. In 1998 INFERNO records the death metal mini-LP called 'The Queen of Dark'. This season the 'Agnus Dei' clip holds the 7th place during 29 days in the Ukrainian National hit parade.

Inferno is a progressive rock band that bases its creativity on heavy genres from hard rock up to death metal. Although the sound of Inferno is quite light, radio bosses steadily qualify this music as 'heavy rock' format. The band was created in 1994 in Kiev, Ukraine. From the very beginning INFERNO continuously suffered from stuff problems that have probably been a result of quite non-typical music style - some mass media man once defined it as 'Gothic Folk Death Metal' (!). Utilizing the gorgeousness of female vocal, INFERNO has started with just plain death metal, but soon devoted itself to sometimes strange musical experiments.

Btw, the fifth song on Omniabsence filled by his greatness is titled "The Vertical Fissure of the Most Distant End" not "Heretical" like Agonia's bandcamp claims. Source? A damn booklet.
