Ikuinen virta

Ikuinen Virta – a debut studio album of Indica, released in 2004 and backing by Sony BMG. This record had literally exploded Finnish charts of that year. The album was stick to TOP 20 Albums for a half of year (29 weeks) where it peaked on number 4. It has since sold platinum in Finland.



Scarlett was the first album’s single entered the TOP 20 Singles chart in April 2004 (15/2004) where it stayed 5 weeks and peaked on number 14. Meanwhile the most successful single was the same-name album’s composition Ikuinen Virta. This song climbed into the charts in December 2004 (51/2004) and stayed there 8 weeks. It peaked on number 8 during that period.



Saalistaja is an opening song of the album. It is rather fast, a bit primitive but energetic. Here it’s the second composition Scarlett right there, which changes a mood completely. It is melodic, unhurried, mind-bending… The following Ikuinen virta might to claim to be a European hit if it wasn’t in Finnish, so it could only be in dreams. This song is rather carte-de-visite of the band, and without doubts it should be considered the strongest single of all Indica. Next songs Valehtelen, Surusilmä, Lasienkeli are very melodic and so-Finnish unhurried, they give to under-stand (if one didn’t understand it yet) how hand-some and melodic the Finnish language is.
