Biography

Incolumis is Jani Rantanten, finnish electronic music producer with very distinctive dark and underground style.

Born 23 Sep 1981 and raised in Finland, Incolumis is an active participant in the international electronic music scene. He currently produces music under three different aliases (Incolumis, Outgate & Yaraform), participating in two on-line labels (Starfleet Records & Sublogic Corporation), as well as being signed to and producing original music for Black Tiger Recordings (BTR), Nth Degree Records vinyl releases published by Nice Kitty Music Entertainment Ltd. in Canada and the United States, also having production released on famous John ‘00’ Fleming label J00F.

In the summer of 2001, after almost five years of composing and producing, Incolumis took his music to the next level by building a professional music studio from which the massive tracks “At the Gates”, “North Stone”, “Karma”, “Tsunami” and many others were created.

Later on in 2006 his production “One with Sanctuary” got to Armin van Buuren himself and apperead in his regular radioshow A State Of Trance. Having played it twice in his show, he confessed, “I’m not doing many charts, but if I had a chance to make a chart, this would definitely be my number one at the moment”. In the spring of 2006 “One with sanctuary” was featured on A State Of Trance yearly compilation.

Jani also collaborated to establish two other dance-orientated projects Raastin and Dualfire with Antti Lampinen.

I'm happy he's back in full effect. Even when I fall apart from music, I'm always there to check out what's up with a project called Incolumis. Thing happened which I couldn't expect more. Jani released an Incolumis album. It's not that big (48 mins in total), but it's sheer greatness. Lush tech-ambient-trance atmospheres, which over the years have become even more airy. Perceptible is the impact of his ambient exercises. For all deep tech-trance fans, Incolumis is a must.

Both of the new EPs are simply great. He decided to put more accent on atmosphere, very airy and subtle at the same time, like a long breathe throughout. Not much can be said really. Style evolves, standards remain the same. Amazing music.

www.mikseri.net/artist/incolumis and www.incolumis-music.com have quite many songs for free. Other than that, try beatport or junodownload perhaps.

Trash tags: avb, anjunabeats, uplifting trance, recommended to me. Incolumis style is deep, dark and intelligent. Who on earth gives tags like these..?
