There are at least two bands with the name ‘In Solitude’.

1) In Solitude is a Swedish band formed in 2002 in Uppsala, Sweden. To date the band have released three full-length albums, their latest being Sister, released in 2013 through Metal Blade Records. They released their debut album In Solitude in 2008 through Season of Mist. The band released their second album, The World. The Flesh. The Devil in 2011 through Metal Blade Records. The band has released three different demo tapes, followed by the 7” single “Hidden Dangers” on SMP Records including the two songs “Kathedral” and the classic “Hidden Danger (In the Night)”. If you listen to In Solitude’s brand of complex, high-class heavy metal with high-pitched singing, one band springs to your mind immediately: Mercyful Fate.

One of the things I miss bout their earlier albums was that *slight* black metal influence. It feels like on Sister they moved away from metal and towards a softer, gothic rock sound. And now that I've had time to appreciate all three of their albums I think I prefer their first two because of that.

All 3 albums are so fantastic. It's hard to choose a favorite. I wish I had copies of their demos.

Voice so often reminds me of Brian Ross. Which is good.

All three albums are already classics to me. I wish they would bring this tour with Beastmilk to the states!

This is fucking great, wow. Angry at myself for putting off listening to them for so long. Sister is a really incredible album. [2] Well, it's good, for sure!

The first album isn't as immediately distinct as the other two, but I think it's more memorable and a lot better paced than The World. All three of their albums are quality though.

The debut album is honestly a bit stale, they really didn't become a terrific band until The World. The Flesh. The Devil

First album is awesome but takes a few listens. Second is slightly worse but still good.
