This is my third favorite album of theirs behind Here in After and Unholy Cult but the title track is definitely their best song and maybe the best death metal song ever.

As a non-musician, tech death oftentimes comes across as boring and masturbatory to me, but every riff, every drum roll, every vocal line etc. on this album blends together so seamlessly you kinda forget about the individual parts as you're listening. It becomes an organic whole, creating the most engrossing death metal album I've ever heard. And it's still as fresh as the first day I listened to it many many years ago. so yeah it's pretty fucking good imo

After getting into this band with their more accessible stuff, this album is good but nothing special. I won't be getting the urge to listen to it again any time soon but I won't skip it if I ever go on an Immolation binge.
