So much "sincere" than the Bowie version... I love the darkness and the feeling of this version. Iggy is fantastic.

The Iggy version on 'The Idiot' is so superior to Bowie's pondweed attempt it's almost unbelievable; Still, at least Bowie's version gave Iggy the recognition he deserved, having missed out on SO much...especially when Bowie and his ego-ego hid (Iggy and) The Stooges away whilst he unleashed "his" creation, Z-Iggy Stardust on an unaware of the TRUTH world...1972's 'Raw Power' not being released until 1973 when folk thought Iggy was copying Bowie. "And when I get excited, my little China girl says "oh, Jimmy, just you shut your mouth...She says'Ssshhhh....' ".

I love how he sings, he's so raw and real, really with a "I don't give a f.." attitude. Much better than Bowie's version.

you people realise that bowie co-wrote this song right? Of course this version is superior, but don't act like Bowie did a cover of it. It was simply his version.

where Bowie is self-possessed, Iggy is gloriously unhinged

Iggy sings this song like he means it. David... doesn't.
