Biography

Identity Thief are an alt/pop/trip-hop band formed in 2010 in Southampton, England. Their fusion of genres such as those listed above; create a fun and energetic atmosphere with emotionally driven female vocals.

Guitarist George met vocalist Gaby when they both started studying the same music degree in 2008 and had been writing music together until they recruited drummer Mike Marolia and bassist Sander De Vries in March 2010.

From this time onwards they have continued writing music together as a band and from January 2011 began playing shows around the city of Southampton. With shows at Southampton’s Hamptons Bar, Orange Rooms and the prestigious Southampton Joiners, the band are gaining an ever increasing fan base with tracks such as ‘Find Me’ and ‘My Little Miss Sunshine’.

Having added to their ranks in April 2011 with the addition of keyboard player Vince Lowe, they are planning to release their first EP by mid 2011 as well as playing upcoming shows over the next few months at Hamptons, Southampton Joiners, The Talking Heads, Bournemouth Champions Bar, and Southampton’s Ejector Seat festival.
