I know I posted about this a year and a half ago, but I thought I'd try again! Ida fans! Have you heard Karla Schickele's 2012 record "History Grows"....if you love her Ida compositions like "This Water", "Man in Mind", "Firefly", "What Can I Do", and "Honeyslide", you will find much to love on her new solo record! Karla has made it available to listen online here. The first six songs are Schickele songs and the last 4 are covers. http://vivakmusic.bandcamp.com

aw fuck that. ida is an amazing band that has put out really beautiful albums since the 90's. they deserve not to be replaced by some new teenie/casting/whatever-"star".

Hi all! So Karla Schickele is Ida bassist/pianist/sometimes singer/sometimes songwriter who has written 12 Ida songs: "Fallen Arrow, Poor Dumb Bid, Tiger Dare, Be Careful, This Water, Man In Mind, Firefly, Arrowheads, What Can I Do, Honeyslide, Gravity, and Still Life"....she has a new album out for her other band 'k.' called "History Grows...and it is amazing! If you like any of the Ida songs I listed above, you would love the new k. album, especially the tune "Click and Slap", which i think is the best song Karla Schickele has ever written including her compositions in Ida, k. and 90s indie rock band Beekeeper...the new k. album is available to for sale on bandcamp: http://vivakmusic.bandcamp.com

Go to the forums, several bandpages had these problems with changes to all-caps for no reason.

yeah, it is kinda weird. After i checked their artwork, it is "Ida" not "IDA" or maybe it is refferred to other band? Anyway, which Ida that we are talking about, the slowcore one right? I'm kinda confused here :|

I saw them perform live in Boston on New Year's Eve after only having heard of them once or twice, and was very impressed. It was a very intimate setting, they were quite amusing on stage, and the music was fantastic. I spoke with Daniel for probably half an hour after the show (during which they played "I Know About You" in its entirety), and briefly with the other members, all of whom were amusing and exceptionally nice. 'Twas a great introduction and I look very much forward to exploring their music!

It is nice to know that they are still active. I thought they were in the state of hiatus or something.
