Too clever for your own good. If I remember correctly, the Mountbatten variation (1979) states that any station made of two single-syllable words means that late engineering works leave you trapped in zone 6. So, I think that takes us to... yes, Uxbridge.

You can't huff when shunts are active! I'll cross the lines (Logan's variaton, 1896) and half-hump to get to Royal Oak.

I pop the handbrake and perform a shift (both lateral and literal, thanks to the third variation of Duke of Winchester Rule 17 introduced in the Revised Abridged 1986 Handbook, so double points there) to Totteridge and Whetstone . Oh, and I huff.

I know I'm terribly late for this, but RIP Humpy. How about an honorary round of Mornington Crescent? I'll start: Barons Court

I say that the teams should use his funeral to sing one song to the tune of another as a tribute to brilliant humour of the colossal chairman Humph. May he rest in happiness and laughter.

In September 1066, William the Conqueror assembled his forces across the Channel and set sail with his army of 9,000 Normans, after one of the most confusing roll calls ever taken.

Willy Rushton, Tim Brooke-Taylor, Barry Cryer and Graeme Garden were being given silly things to do by Humphrey Lyttelton, with Colin Sell setting some of them to music.
