Hugh is a San Francisco indie rock band that recorded albums and toured from 1993-1999. Hugh’s original line-up was: David Rosenheim (guitar/vocals), Gavin Foster (drums), and Bayete Henderson (bass).

Hugh’s first single, “The Church of Jose” (Smilex Records) was released in 1993 and caught the attention of a new Madison, Wisconsin based record label called Mafia Money Records. The label chose Hugh’s “Crush” to be its first ever release. Following that single Hugh released its debut full-length CD, You Are Here. For this album, Hendersen switched to lead guitar and vocals, and Andre Vogel was brought in to play bass.

That line-up did not last long. Hendersen and Vogel both left the band in 1995, and Hugh reverted back to a trio form with the addition of new bassist John Murray. This trio recorded two more CDs, Lucky Drive (1996) and Brave Little Soldier (1998), both for Mafia Money Records.

Hugh disbanded in 1999.
