Hu Ge (simplified Chinese: 胡歌; traditional Chinese: 胡歌; pinyin: Hu Ge; born 20 September 1982 in Shanghai, China) is a Chinese film actor and pop singer best known for his portrayal of Li Xiaoyao in Chinese Paladin.

Born and raised in Shanghai, China, Hu Ge is an only child.

Hu Ge has sung many songs for the soundtracks of his dramas. His songs often being the main tune for the romantic relationships of the series. On October 31, 2006, he released his own EP, called “Treasure” (珍惜) or “Tell Him I Love Her” (告訴他我愛她) featuring three songs. “Tell Him I Love Her,” was a song featured in the epic the drama series “The Young Warriors” based on the legendary Yang family and was also a part of the series’ soundtrack.

On May 15, 2008, Hu Ge released his first full length music album, entitled, “Start”(出發). “Start” features ten tracks including “Dark Cloud” from the Jin Yong drama adaptation “Legend of the Condor Heroes” starring Hu Ge and the theme song “Poison” (Track 6) for a new crossover work called “Farewell Song”. Other featured songs include “Heaven and Earth” (Track 5), “Not Perfect” (Track 3), and “Rumor” (Track 7).
