After fronting several rock bands in his native Idaho, singer/songwriter Justin Ringle moved to Portland, OR in 2004 and began focusing on acoustic music, playing open mics regularly under the moniker Horse Feathers.   • Instrumentals are great. Though, the voice/harmonies are too Iron and Wine-esque with all that hipster crap influence. I am so tired of these type of bands where you can barely hear what the heck they're singing/saying because of the whiny hushed whispering singing.

  • I agree; they are amazing live. Justin was encircled by strings. It was a sight to behold and a sound you'll never forget. "Violently Wild" is a good as anything they've done so far. Love these guys.
