Hopie is a rapper from from San Francisco.

Hopie Spitshard was born in Manila and raised in SF’s Sunset District and Daly City. At 11, Hopie started rapping and composing music as “Kae Hope.” By 19, Hopie was a seasoned singer/songwriter. Throughout college, she performed monthly with a cover band its lead vocalist/drummer and had regular recording sessions around the Bay Area. At 22, Hopie joined the rap duo, “The Wrong Hands,” and released a collaborative album, We All Fall, in February 2008. Hopie then teamed up with respected Vallejo producer, 6Fingers, and released her solo album, The Diamond Dame, on July 8, 2008. To date, Hopie has rapped with high caliber rappers, such as Del the Funky Homosapien and Bambu, and has opened for Casual, Pacific Division, Kiwi, and many more. In Spring of 2008, Urb Magazine nominated Hopie for inclusion in their prestigious Next 1000 issue, which showcases up and coming musicians. Hopie currently lives in SF’s Excelsior District and attends U.C. Hastings Law School. Hopie cites Andre 3000, Del & B.I.G. as her main influences.
