Since forming in Summer 2010, Hive Robbers has been striving to produce music that finds a place in the hearts of those who hear it. All of the members of the band are accomplished musicians in their own right, but when they come together friendship and collaboration make them a true force to be reckoned with.

The four friends began playing together when front man Aidan Bailey Williams wanted to play and record his original works. He first added Jimmy Dykes and Meredith Yeager to complete a folk trio of banjo, guitar, and bass. Still something was lacking and when it came time to record, the addition of Sam Langstaff (previously of Attica) on drums completed the band that would become Hive Robbers.

Aidan Bailey Williams and Jimmy Dykes write all of the Hive Robbers original songs and it is this collaboration of different voices that leads to the band’s diverse repertoire. Aidan and Jimmy’s strong, distinct voices are backed by their skillful musicianship on guitar and banjo, and a whole new dimension is reached with Meredith Yeager’s soulful bass and Sam Langstaff’s eccentric drumming.

The band currently plays primarily in the North East Ohio area where they are steadily building a base of adoring fans. Riding on the success of their first EP (recorded by Eric Vaught), Hive Robbers has been working to break out of Ohio to see the country and gain life experiences that will make their songs hit home with audiences.
