Biography

Highways were an Australian pop punk band from Sydney, New South Wales. The band’s final line-up consisted of siblings John (drums) and Sarah (lead vocals) Buckley, guitarist/vocalist Kerrod Williams (formerly of The Never Ever), lead guitarist Nick Laurie (also of Die Ignorant) and bassist Keanu McCormick; whom replaced original bassist Ed Wardle in 2012. The group formed in 2011 and quickly gained momentum with high-profile support slots for artist such as Tonight Alive, Heroes For Hire and Hands Like Houses. The band released two EPs: Enjoy the Little Things, which was released for free via their Facebook page in mid-2011; and Us Against the World, released in November 2012. Following the departure of both McCormick and Laurie, Highways disbanded in August 2013.
