Alright, Check It Out is the debut album from Heritage Centre. The 11 track album was recorded with Canadian producer David Newfeld (Broken Social Scene, Los Campesinos, Super Furry Animals) at his personal studio hidden away in an old church.

Inspired by bands such as Weezer, The Flaming Lips and Wilco, Heritage Centre didn’t want to make an album that was entirely polished and clean. Alright, Check It Out mixes punchy percussion with melodic instrumentation and vocals. Sounding energetic and live in parts, while controlled and understated in others, Alright, Check It Out may be rough around the edges but was made with a lot of love and hard work.

The band are fully independent and have reached this point entirely through their own hard work. Previously renowned as a mainstay on the live scene, as well as for their penchant for releasing singles and EPs in quick succession, the band took time away to ensure their album was as good as it could be. Now, with their album set for release, expect to see Conal, Liam, David, Stephen and Ciaran once more playing shows up and down the country.

Got a high with that video. Is that the male singer or a real female??? Love the mid-'60s vibe!
