The Overwhelming Unnecessity of Everything

The Overwhelming Unnecessity of Everything is the first full-length album release from Her Ethic. The plan was to release Skyclad in December 2008, and then The Overwhelming Unnecessity of Everything in January 2009, but when the Order of Her Ethic realised that they would have to delay Skyclad ‘till January 2009, they switched order of the albums.

Unlike Skyclad, this album has no vocals and not much structure. It’s a collection of experiments, remixes and alternative versions of existing songs.

About the tracks.
Humant is a track by Fredrik Falk that mainly consists of an electric guitar, sounds from a video game and heavy electronic manipulation of both.
doLL (adrenocandy remix) is, as the title suggests, adrenocandys remix of the Her Ethic track Doll. The original was be released in its original form on the follow-up to Skyclad, but ended up in Labrat Whorium.
Rosehip started out as a triphop-ish track, but failed to evolve into something real. Falk couldn’t seem to find good lyrics for it, and was getting tired of the melody and the drums, so he removed everything except the noisy elements.
ad Vent Medicine first appeared on the Exit Sign demo EP. It is performed by Stian Wold (guitars) and Fredrik Falk (keys and electronic manipulation).
