Henry Mancini aka "Hank" was a fabulous writer and composer! His "Pink Panther" theme is known by EVERYBODY! even my kids who are not into jazz at all know the Pink Panther theme! And for them that's "old stuff" :-)

Again, not the original track--for God's sake, use the Henry Mancini original or attribute it. He used some of the best sidemen in the world and his arrangements of his compositions are superb. His tunes are so covered--great--but he was the full package.

Mancini described this as a rock and roll tune. It has been covered by many rock bands (i.e. Duane Eddy and Emerson, Lake and Palmer). I love it!
