Heaven Rain was founded in the summer of 2006 in Banja Luka, by Goran Bastinac (keys). The original idea was to create original music combining progressive metal and Finnish power metal. After writing and arranging the initial ideas that would later become the framework for the debut album, Goran contacted a fellow student at the Academy of Arts in Banja Luka, Igor Paspalj (guitar). Later, Bozidar Sevic lead singer of the bands Her Mess and Revolt, became the vocalist of the group.
The first songs, Rain Will Fall Again and Can’t Stay, were met with great enthousiasm by the metal fans of Banja Luka after being played on the Danger Zone show on a local radio station. In the following months Final Point, Go Away and Beauty of You were written.
The line-up was finally completed in early 2008 when Bojan Joksic (bass) from Apocalypse, The Five Horsemen and Degenek and Nebojsa Lakic (drums) from Interfector and Degenek joined the band. Shortly after signing a deal with Moonwolf Records, the band entered the studio to record their debut album. The album, Far And Forever, was released on July 4, 2008 and is available worldwide. On June 21 the band debuted as a live act at Neofest 2008 in Banja Luka.
The band is currently promoting the album, working on new material and is available for concert and festival bookings.
