Heatwave, aka The Fresh Prince of the City, was discovered by Rascalz member Red1 at a sold-out Juelz Santana show in 2006. Currently signed to Killawatt Records, Heatwave continues to craft an identity in both the underground and commercial scenes.
HeatWave has performed alongside Akon, Rihanna, Damien & Stephen Marley (Haiti Music Festival), K-OS, The Game, Elephant Man, Sean Paul, Lupe Fiasco, Chamillionaire, Lloyd Banks, Devin the Dude, Fat Joe, Slum Village, Sean Kingston, Paul Wall, Mike Jones and DL Incognito, holding his own with some of the hottest and most influential artists in the game.
Heatwave’s newest mix-tape project “The Masses: Volume 1 hosted by DJ Kemo”, is musically unique, capturing the essence and flavour of the West Coast with an array of lyrical topics, moods and tempos.
