About this album

The new HealeyIsland album, released on White Label Music on 28/10/2009. The CD comes in a tobacco tin style metal box with art work.
Described as having an atmosphere of smokey, electronic, down-at-heel cabaret. Elements of warm jazz and light music mixed with close up electronic beats, basses, melodies and momentary glitches. A journey through an imaginary landscape of run down ballrooms, dance halls and clubs, through lives and stories.

Love this album. It is very dynamic, a great road trip album. It was the soundtrack to my road trip. A great listen on headphones, too.

Definitely agree with northcape the album is not a cheap date which needs multiple listenings to reveal itself in all its glory. Great use of smooth sweeping melodies which are counterbalanced with gritty raw industrial textures , never predictable , great work again Mr HealeyIsland certainly a soundtrack to a film yet to be produced.

Superb work- enjoyable on first listen, but develops depth and contrast with repeat plays...

Great work as usual! Thanks for sharing these 6 full tracks here. I agree with what someone said here, it would be great for a Tarantino movie!
