2 Apr 2006, 18:59 by boredintellectRocky Votolato Played last night at Velour in Provo, UT.
I love this mans work. I have seen him twice now
and i own at the moment work from each of his brothers and the bands they connect to.
Light and Sound EP
Rocky was in a movieback in his Waxwing days it was called THE EDGE OF QUARREL it is a badly made movie but it is a awesome peice of history
check out these other bands that are connected to rocky
Waxwing, Bugs In Amber, Sonny Votolato, The Blood Brothers, Head Wound City, Neon Blonde
there are many more but i think that is the jist of music that you might make your own connections from there
Damien Jurado played last night. and he was awesome.i have On My Way to Absence on my computer
J. Tillman also showed his pretty face and played some beautiful "murder ballads" for us. He also played drums for rocky during most of rockys songs from makers.
and best of all was Brinton Jones from Palamino. this mans voice is heaven.
23 Mar 2006, 21:43 by KontroldKhaosHey I just recently made a forums site and was looking for some members. Some bands that have been mentioned on here are Neil Perry, The Sawtooth Grin,Chiodos,Circle Takes the Square, Head Wound City. Some people I would like to join would be fans of bands like The Locust, Hella, Hot Cross, and bands similar to these. Some bigger bands have been talked about here to like Underoath and Black Flag. We really need some fans of punk on here too. Thank you in advance.
22 Feb 2006, 03:51 by drtoxicin my top 10 positions:
1) The Blood Brothers
these guys are pretty good.
i managed to catch them in concert a few weeks ago and they were AMAZING.
the crowd was going nuts!
its a shame i lost my wallet that night.
2) Death from Above 1979
These guys are my favorite band in the whole world!
i have all of their CDs and a few bits of their vinyl.
3) Femme Fatale
Jesse Keeler(from Death From Above 1979)'s side project.
this band actually predates DFA1979 and all the instruments and singing is done by Jesse
4) Neon Blonde
a Blood Brothers side-project (see a pattern here? haha)
this project has a more... electronic sound to it.
its really indescribable. they're amazing.
Probably my favorite metalcore band in the world.
i started listening to these guys around christmas.
6) Head Wound City
YET ANOTHER blood brothers side project.
this band consists of 2 members of the blood brothers, 2 of the locust and one guy from the yeah yeah yeahs.

Anarchist-Punk Rock. website
Recent release of Searching for a Former Clarity, Signed very recently to Sire Records - New Album in 2007.
Also, soon to tour Australia.
Polished music with perfectly placed vocals.
Personal favourite, After the Eulogy
Absolutely killer post-punk revival band. Pretty new and thriving in th past 4 years. I'm really into them at the mo.
80's Pop Rock
Brilliant music that lives over generations. Paul Hester (RIP) on drums, Finn Brothers, some of their best work. Highly recommend Weather With You from the album Woodface
Also recommend, Conation, Coheed & Cambria, Could've Moved Mountains, The Cure, Comeback Kid, and Circle Takes the Square.
Definitely a favourite that withstands time.
Five albums later.....
Gorgeous Indie Rock with Female Vocals
Would recommend purely for the fact that their music is like floating through the air on a mattress while you sleep. …
