Hurry on Sundown (4:53)

Cover of Masters Of Rock

From Masters Of Rock and 39 other releases

the 1st song on the 1st album - it shows their busking roots before descending at the end into the crazy world or Hawkwind! It’s a beautiful song.

fab, anyone heard the kula shaker cover? Thanks to Kozmik Ken and sonic rock solstice for that lovely little find. Not as good as this though :-)

The version from the Bonus Tracks (without the harmonica) is better in my opinion. It sounds like it could've sat easily on ISOS or DFL without sounding out of place.

Definitely a Brock song which was produced by Taylor on the first LP by Hawkwind. Taylor was originally lead guitarist for the Stones and moved to bass in the early 60's. He was replaced by Wyman and then went on to form the Pretty Things with Phil May. ( I think that he played with the Mekons in the 80's)

Wouldn't this be a bit early for Lemmy? Of course I could be wrong. This is a great version, previously I was only aware of the version on the first LP. Would the Dick Taylor mentioned by Amondroid be the same Dick Taylor from the Pretty Things?
