Having Thin Moonshine is a young musical project born in Venice at the end of 2006. The structure of the group includes a female voice (Alessia), an acoustic guitar (Piero), a bass guitar (Dario) and drums (Jacopo). The lyrics, in English, are written by Alessia. They are mainly about introspective personal visions, but also include scenic Drama, as in the case of “Salomè” by Oscar Wilde. The music is composed entirely by Piero, a cellist by profession, who began this project following his passion for acoustic guitar and his interest in a wide range of musical genres. The group recorded its first demo CD of five tracks just three months after the formation of the band. The demo CD, with a folk/new wave sound, received positive feedbacks, from good reviews on websites, from radio stations that transmit it and from the number of copies sold during concerts. In 2009 the group signed its first discographic contract with ARK Records, producing its first full length album “Having Thin Moonshine”.
Having Thin Moonshine are:
Pietro Baldan: acoustic guitar, cello, synth, additional percussions;
Dario Belardinelli: bass guitar;
Jacopo Campi: drums.
