why the song "halfway between Heaven and Earth" isn't on top 15 ?? Possibly because it did not appear on either of their albums. I first heard it on the 'Over the Rainbow' live album (various artists) and has only been added to various compilations over the years although it also appears on the 1990 one-off live album (which doesn't seem to be scrobbled much on Last FM, brilliant tho it is).

That short "Your Majesty Is Like A Cream Donut"-theme must be one of the most epic things I've ever heard...

Well, certainly one of the best. Soft Machine's jazziness + Caravan's songwriting = OH MY FUCKING GOD, IT'S SO AWESOME!!!

How marvellous that this song, with wonderful sentiments and by one of my favourite bands, should be my 1000th song on last.fm. Nice one

Two great albums from this band and archive recordings . The sound was really original an personal , innovative and influential . Dave Stewart is a master with de Fender Rhodes electric piano and with the organ , making strange and noisy sounds and soft ones too.

Wish these guys were a bit heavier, less Canterbury, like a Steely Dan or Gentle Giant, I'd love 'em.

It's never too much Rhodes! Especially not for me. (Or, really it is, but not in Hatfield and the North.)
